I've visited and practiced at many studios across the city over the years and I can confidently say there really is no place like Modo Yoga Bloor West. From the first-timer to the seasoned yogi, you'll find everything you need here and end up feeling like you're at home. The space and studio are open, full of natural light, and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Lots of classes on the schedule and the regular roster of teachers all bring their unique approach to class and are wonderful in their own ways. The sense of community and family is so strong and inviting here. I cannot say enough good things abotu Don adn Meg, the studio's director and manager (and teachers). Their dedication, love and passion for their business shows, and it translates into a more fulfilling experience for every person that walks through the door. At MYBW, y ou may come for a yoga class, but you always end up walking out with much more. Very grateful to have these guys in the Bloor West neighbourhood!!
A full moon is a powerfully healing time – it happens when the Moon (the seat of our emotions) is bathed in the clarifying, brilliant light of the sun. As our emotions come to the surface to be worked through, we have the opportunity to let go of any unsettled or unresolved feelings- to be fully engaged in our lives and to harvest new realizations. In this class, we will incorporate a dynamic vinyasa practice to move and release blocked chakras, as well as dive into deeply restorative poses to ground our bodies and release stored emotions that we are holding onto from this lunar cycle. Finally, we will close together with a full moon ritual inspired by where the moon is in its current cycle and which chakras are likely to be affected at that time. All class passes accepted. This class will happen once per month on the Sunday before the full moon at 7:45-9pm.

Energy Exchangers are an integral part of our studio family; their service, passion, and enthusiasm have a lot to do with why our space is so special, warm and welcoming. In exchange for working a 4-hour shift per week (same day, same time) EE’s will receive unlimited yoga, laundry service, complimentary rentals, staff discounts, maternity-leave and more. If you to play a role in service to our community in exchange for unlimited yoga, and you have 4 hours a week to dedicate, our Energy Exchange program is for you! The Hiring Process: we prefer to hire students who are familiar with our studio, have practiced here before and enjoyed our Intro Month. We’ve had more long term commitments from EEs who joined the program after experiencing the introductory month. Alternatively, if you’ve exchanged energy before at another studio and have a regular practice, we can wave our prereq of having done an Intro Month.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to connecting with you soon.
