Studio Manager + Teacher
Meg is a teacher and studio manager at MYBW, a certified yoga therapist under the Sri. Krishnamacharya lineage. She completed her initial 500-hour Modo Teacher Training in 2011 and has since completed over 2,500 hours studying with a variety of teachers in across Canada, in NYC, and Rishikesh, India.
While teaching group classes Meg encourages students to meditate how one feels inside physically, emotionally and mentally while working with breath suspension and linking breath with movement; she weaves mindfulness-based cueing throughout along with visualization and sound healing, and focuses on functional and safe movements. While working one-on-one in a therapeutic capacity, Meg offers holistic and loving support toward an individual’s biopsychosocial healing and incorporates the tools of Ayurveda (which addresses lifestyle balance and nutrition) and composes a daily practice for clients with an emphasis on a biomechanical/non-compensatory approach to movement meditation as a way of performing neuroplastic surgery to bring unhealthy/unhelpful patterns of thinking and moving to the surface and replace them with healthy and helpful ways of being in relationship with yourself and those around you.
Meg graduated from OCAD University with a BFA majoring in Drawing & Painting and minoring in English Lit and is currently studying to become a registered psychotherapist at The Centre for Training in Psychotherapy.
